Matt Hall - Recruitment Consultant

What is your background? 

I have spent over 20 years working in sales and sales management, in a variety of industries spanning retail, automotive and telecommunications. As you can imagine I’ve met people from all walks of life and it’s helped me to gain a really broad understanding of different types of clients, their varying needs and how to build great relationships by offering a personalised service every time.

Why did you choose Ntrinsic?

Ntrinsic stood out for me personally because of the clear in-house culture to not only be the best in their field, but also to get the best out of their team – this in turn, can only lead to a collective drive to ensure clients and candidates get the best bespoke service a recruitment consultancy can offer. Added to that I was really keen to join a company in a growing industry and it definitely seems like an exciting time for the tech market.

Why have you made a career industry change?

I felt I needed a change in direction having spent a long period in sales, albeit a successful one. I was holding out for a company that matched my core values: professionalism, a drive to succeed and a commitment to being the best for your customers. Ntrinsic definitely matched that criteria for me and I’m hoping my transferable skills and previous experience will really add value. I’m really looking forward to this next step in my career. 

What’s your favourite film? 

That’s a tough one! However, “The Pursuit of Happiness” is up there – it’s great example of family values, persistence and how not to give up!

How do you spend time outside of work?

Outside of work I have a keen interest in keeping fit at the gym. I’ve also always been a keen DJ and still do gigs from time to time (F1 Grand Prix Mainstage in 2019 was a highlight!) as well as that I produce music in my spare time, so definitely have a thirst for technology!

You have two celebrities to invite for dinner – who would they be?

Barrack Obama & Gordon Ramsay

What’s the best country you have ever visited? Would you go back?

Grenada in the Caribbean – a really interesting place, fantastic food, breath-taking views, waterfalls and beaches. I would love to return one day! Highly recommended.
